Captain America: The Winter Soldier is my most anticipated film of 2014, followed by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Nice, I would add this plus Robocop, Under the Skin, Dom Hemingway and maybe Bad Words.
Robocop reboot looks cool and I like Joel Kinnaman from The Killing, but I might skip it. Don't want to support this trend of reboots.
They can't be avoided and yes some remakes in the past have been good. I am not saying I will avoid all reboots/remakes, but this one I plan to.
Yeah, I agree to some extent. I am afraid they will fuck it up like Total Recall. But I liked Dredd. But one of the main reasons is Joel Kinnaman, I loved him in the killing, lets see how it works out!
Yeah Total Recall was a drag especially the final act of the movie.
I loved Dredd. But it was not a remake, it was a new and more faithful adaptation of the comics. And I want to see a sequel for it.
Problem is, all studios want to have their franchises to be like Bond movies now. So they reboot and remake movies from their list of IP (intellectual property) every new decade or two with new actors.
If the buzz for the new Robocop is overly positive, I might check it out.
